Privacy policy

This site collects as little as possible. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising at present.

Hosting and delivery

The site is hosted by Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 München, Germany. It is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the site.

Server logs

The web server keeps access logs with IP address, time, requested URL and user agent for up to 14 days, for security and operation. They are not used for profiling and are not shared, except where required by law.

The VIN checker

The checker runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to the server; the browser only downloads the public code list. The VIN appears in your browser's address bar so that you can share a result.
